This single-family home remodel reimagines the existing interior for a family of four with two young children, with a focus on creating a more open, connected, and light-filled home for everyday family life. The kitchen is opened up to establish a stronger relationship with the dining area, improving circulation and creating a more natural space for cooking, gathering, and entertaining.
Strategic changes to the existing layout allow more natural light to reach the interior while strengthening visual connections between the kitchen, dining, and living spaces. The living room and bathrooms are also updated to better suit the family’s needs while giving the home a more cohesive and contemporary character.
The design blends vintage-modern elements with subtle mid-century influences, combining clean lines, warm materials, and vintage-inspired details. The result is a home that feels fresh and modern while retaining character, designed to support the rhythms of a growing family without losing its sense of personality.
